Licensing and Regulation:
The Norseman Group® provides important insurance compliance solutions through a turnkey process.

States vary in their approach to life settlements. Most states have regulated the transaction in some way, and some distinguish the transaction from "viatical settlements," and may regulate both.

While many people and regulators still call any settlement a "viatical," most professionals know a "viatical" as a case where the insured has a life threatening illness, and/or has less than 2 years to live. The Norseman Group® does not do settlements where the insured has less than 2 years to live.
